On Thursday, Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand stated that thorough security preparations had been taken along the 19 kilometre parade route from Hussain Sagar to Balapur.

With the use of a vast CCTV camera network, special squads, and other real-time feeds, the city police are keeping an eye on the main procession path and the tributary processions that are joining.

Around 9,523 idols (excluding those under three feet tall) were planted throughout the city this year, according to the city police head, and they will be submerged on Friday and Saturday.

The police had made great preparations since the huge immersion of Ganesh idols was taking place in the city.

It is anticipated that the immersion programme will go through Saturday afternoon. The celebration is being held with religious passion and splendour despite brief downpours.

According to Telangana DGP Mahendar Reddy, more than 35,000 police officers have been deployed to ensure the event is conducted smoothly in the three police commissionarates of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda.
